I've got ICS 4.0.3 on my nexus s and would like to figure out if there's a simple way on granting data access only to specific apps while being abroad and roaming. Until now I had data-roaming turned off while being away from my home network and I was only allowing data access through WLAN hotspots.
Well as I've now got a 50 MB data roaming package included I want to make sure that not all of my data is being fed up by apps as e.g. updates from play market, etc. but only those apps I really want to use it for have access.
I know there's the possibility of disabling background data in ICS, but maybe there's a simpler way or even an app for managing this? It seems that certain apps don't really care about the background-data-turned-off-limitations as e.g. Spotify (the music streaming service) continues downloading data on 3G/4G when the download started in WLAN :-\
Thanks for your support,
