hey guys an gals i just bought a new radio and i installed it but i cant get the phone to cvonnect to it. anyone have any ideas on how i can get it to work

Need more details. Does the Alpine head unit have a switch to turn Bluetooth on, or is it always on? Make sure both the head unit and your phone have BT turned on. Then go to your phone's Settings, and tap Bluetooth (the word, not the switch). See if the Alpine shows up in the list--if it doesn't, tap "Search for Devices" at the bottom of the screen.

Check the owners manual for the head unit. There should be instructions on how to turn on bt, and if there is a certain pass code you need it should tell you.
But yes more info would be great. I. E. What happens when you try to pair etc

1. Turned which one on?
2. What told you the pairing failed, the phone or the head unit?
3. At any point, were you prompted to enter a passcode?

Need more details if you want helpful advice.

Did you RTFU? You may have but did not indicate. Also, as has been asked more than once, what exactly did you do? My rarz is incredible but the Crystal ball also would not load. Lol.

With that said, apparently some devices can't pair with razor, see post via Infiniti.

I apologize i havent been on because of work. I have turned on the bluetooth on the radio and on the razr maxx as well. My HTC Rezound connected flawlessly but the maxx wont. On the rezound it gave me the device name and on the Maxx, it gave me the device id and no name for it.

but to answer B. Diddy's questions:
1.They both are turned on and the alpine unit is in pairing mode automatically once the vehicle is turned on.
2.The Maxx is the one that is saying that the pairing failed.
3. I was never prompted to enter a passcode on the maxx or even on the radio.

And I dont know what RTFU is. Sorry iresq

Unfortunately, not all Bluetooth devices are compatible with each other, and that may be what you're dealing with. A quick Google search came up with another person with a Honda Pilot (unless that was you) who is also having problems with the same unit and same phone. I looked at Alpine's website, but they don't have a list of compatible phones--the manual only says that some devices may be incompatible.

Hi all,
Im new to this so plz bare with me, i have an issue with an Alpine INA-W900E came pre-installed with a car i just recently bought, the device functions quite well overall however when it comes to playing music through any connectivity such as the AUX and the BT it does not want to play i can receive calls through the BT only however it wont play music and this is all through my android phone.
My last resort was to factory reset the device however there is no visible option in the setup menu, if any one can help out that would be great. Thanks
