Already???

Sorry to hate to burst your bubble if you did buy this device ( The XPRT), but they have this one coming up next, and honestly I think I will wait for this instead...

New Motorola Android handset for Sprint leaked

For me that would not work, I had a Pre and that looks to be Pre-like. Plus, I have moved over to the venerable EVO 4G. Both of my XPRT phones were having issues that my previous phones did not. The EVO has been around a bit so maybe most of it's problems have been resolved (battery will suck I know but it does have a smaller one that the XPRT).

I did not want any of the new up and coming devices and there was nothing else that really grabbed me. The XPRT would have been the perfect phone for me, maybe down the road if they work out the kinks I can try again. :'(

So you gave up on the XPRT? What issues were you having?

Also if this is a slider..I will pass. Or smaller than the XPRT

I just kept having some performance issues. Mainly lag spurts where the phone seemed unresponsive for a long period making me have to remove the battery. And also, intermittent reboots, everything else about the phone was something I had been looking for. I did take a look at the phone mentioned above and it may not be a slider, at least from what I can see zoomed in.

I will just wait it out and see, maybe in a year or so when prices come down and the XPRT or the new one prove themselves a bit I will trade up. I really, really like that style of phone, but I need one that works dependably, maybe they will have some fixes out or with Gingerbread it will get better.

I can tell you, the EVO is defintely a battery killer :) but it works! So many new phones, easy to get overwhelmed :(

i had the same problem. i am on my second Xprt the first one kept freezing up on me and it rebooted a few times also but not as frequent. the freezing or as i call it lock up happened to me at least once or twice a day. it might have been some apps i had and setting i had on the task manager, cuz my second Xprt is not giving me any issues so far, ( knock on wood)

PS. as far as the phone having locking or freezing or reboot issues, a bunch of stores have told me including Sprint CS people are not returning the phone. So this is not a known issue, but again knock on wood.

this new Xprt look a like i wont be interested in unless it has some serious power like the a dual processor. 4g is a waste right now for me, the market is too young and coverage is low. for those who have good 4g coverage good for you, im waiting till the country gets blanketed... PLUS it looks like it may not be a international phone too being a 4G device.

Waiting for a previously never heard of, never mentioned, blurry picture of a flop of a design, slider phone, sounds like something someone over a Crackberry.com would do. There are just too many choices for an Android user to choose from right now to have to wait for a any phone.

Just my opinion of course.

lol. I have a Pre now, and am shopping for an upgrade, which will likely be some Android device on Sprint. But there is a paucity of options, as I really want a good hardware keyboard. I mostly use my gadget as a portable email device, and those slabs just look really unappealing. (And yes, I have tried typing on borrowed iphones and such. And no, I didn't find it easy at all.) I've played with the landscape sliders, and they don't seem to have very good keyboards - most people never use them, which suggests that I wouldn't get used to it.

So my options seem to be the out-of-date-at-launch XPRT, or something that hasn't been released yet. I'm extremely interested in rumors and vaporware of phones I would actually like to use. :)

Well I like my Epic and I use the hardware keyboard quite often in addition to the on screen keyboard (Swype). I think I was faster on my Pre tho, and any Treo keyboard in general. The XPRT keyboard is nice. I plan on getting it for my fiance who loved her Treo and liked her Pre. She has an Optimus now and the lack of keyboard ain't cuttin it.

That is, if something else doesn't come out (or is rumored) first.
