So after spending my whole night last night learning and trying to flash a ROM and backup my computer etc...I finally did it...

I decided to go with CM7 because it seemed pretty basic and down the road I want to use my PS3 Controller on my Infuse and read that CM7 uses the right BT stack...

So anyways....What advice to some of you CM7 users have? What else should I look at uploading and what tricks can I learn?

Can't wait for responses.

Sorry, it looks like everyone else is running Zeus. :)

lol and I totally understand...that was actually my first option but I really want to set up my PS3 controller on this ....so I'm looking for advice that's all...

Or they all got rid of the Infuse

Doubt it....Sure there are better more powerful phones (Only drawback of Android) But you really can't beat 1.00 for a phone like this...hell every time I bought an iPhone for 200 I thought it was the latest greatest...but I bought this in October for 75...now everyone is getting it for a buck.

Perfect phone for your Android Cherry to get popped with.

:p

I have to agree. I got tired of the $200 iPhone treadmill and, to be honest, I'm not seeing much benefit from the upgrades.

Now, with the infuse, for a buck I got a lot of functionality and the best part was that I get to remove iTunes from my computer. Life is good.

BTW, I am running Zeus.

HATE HATE HATE iTunes!!!! Could never figure that thing out since the iPhone came out in what 07?

Zeus eh? How do you like it? I might flash that....am I gonna have to run Odin and make it completely stock? Or can I just back everything up and flash Zeus?

Re: Alright let the fun begin!!! First time Rom Flasher here...CM

If you are coming from CM7 I would odin. The dev says to odin if you are coming from anything to Zeus. Read the OP for Zeus at XDA, it will give you the instructions on flashing it.

Yes. Odin definitely before Zeus.

Zeus is amazing! I have been running it on My infuse for about three weeks and I think I'm staying with it. It's super smooth and responsive and the battery life is great. Take everyone else's advice. Use Odin and flash to stock first, then root and install cwm recovery and lastly FLASH ZEUS!

You will not regret it!!

Edit: Just had to add this.. ALL APPLE PRODUCTS SUCK! Including iTunes. Lol :)

Jeez, everyone I talked to said "Itunes is awesome! you should get it now" and then I did and got super frustrated with those i-idiots. Seriously a pain in my side ever since I downloaded it, glad to be back to the better programs...lol android (with the infuse) saved me from that.

Happy to hear (read) that! I can't stand the LiEPhone or any of the apple products out there. For me (and hopefully all of you) android is where it's at.

I honestly think the iPhone is a good phone, just not the right one for me. There's no real need to shoot down another product just because you chose another one to go with. I do however think the way Apple is behaving as a company right now is utterly despicable.

Regardless, everyone in my family uses the iPhone, and I do agree, I think iTunes is awful. It works fine as a media player on the computer, but having to sync contacts and all that other stuff though it felt like jumping through flaming hoops with nettle spikes covered on the landing spot. I ended up doubling the contacts on my parents' phones cause apparently you can't sync multiple phones with one iTunes account and etc. Too complicated.

You're of course entitled to your opinion and I agree the iphone is an okay phone for regular users, but obviously if your looking for power user options and customization options then android is where it's at. That's all I was saying.

I didn't mean any disrespect toward those who use the product.. It was directed to apple themselves... not you.

I just flashed Zeus 5.1 + ICS revamped theme today just for fun (since I know how to go back to stock via odin thanks alot to ATT) It's not whole alot different experience for me. First thing I care about is battery life. Yeah, froyo was really bad but battery life is almost similar between official GB/leak and Zeus 5.1, lasting about 1 day and few hours with moderate uses.

But I like the fact that custom roms+theme look cool and all the useless ATT bloatwares are gone(better ram). I think I'm gonna play with Zeus for awhile or maybe switch to another roms. Is Zeus the best rom out there for infuse?

I ran Zeus for several Weeks then went to the"Collectives" Revelation ROM. I like both roms but think revelation will stay on this phone till the guys come up with another outstanding ROM.:D

I ran r3velation for a bit, but flashed back to Zeus 6. In my opinion it's way better, but that might just be my opinion.

I usually get about 10 hours before I have to charge or swap my battery, but I'm a really heavy user.
