Alternate calendar app?

Trying to keep my new Note 4 completely stock, but i've noticed that the stock calendar app doesn't have a changing date. Does anyone have a good alternative? I know that i can use the google calendar, but i was looking for something using less memory. Thanks for any replies.

I really like the Jorte app, plus it has a nice homescreen widget. If you use the homescreen widget, after you pick the size, I like to us the "Tasks" widget type which gives a nice clean list view as to what is coming up.

Also, I created a generic gmail email for my home devices to all use (shared tablets, computers, old phones...) and I use that email account as the default Jorte account so that when my wife or I add anything to the calendar we both see it on our phones. I can still add stuff to my personal calendar if needed, but default it the shared account.

I'm assuming based upon your initial post, that you're looking for a calendar app that changes its app icon daily to show the current date in the icon. KahneFan is talking about the calendar widget that is being shown underneath the clock/weather widget on the screenshot that was attached.

I use built in Android calendar which serves my purpose well. I also installed the Moonshine Icon Pack. The calendar icons change date daily. That's another option.

The Jorte app has about 30 different app options/sizes to choose from.

Please explain how i can access this widget. I don't see it in my widgets. I'm using the Note 4 from AT&T. Thanks.

I long press on the home screen then select widgets and it's under splanner. Not sure where else it would be if it's not in the list of available widgets.

I don't have that widget. Who is your carrier? I'm running 5.1.1, and i'm with AT&T.

I use Google calendar currently and it does what I need it to in a clean and simple way. Plus, it syncs with your Google account

It's a great app, and i use it on my Nexus 5, however, i wanted to be completely stock on my Note 4.

I don't think that the AT&T varient of the Note 4 has the S Planner widget installed. If anyone in this thread has an AT&T model, please let me know if you have that widget. Maybe there's another way to get it on my phone. Thanks.
