Alternative to Android Auto with split screen functionality for car head unit?

I'm having trouble connecting Android Auto to my ATOTO S8 head unit. I was wondering wouldn't there be other applications that would simply split my car head unit screen into two And just let me run two different applications on my car head unit side by side. that's all I need I need to be able to run maps on one side and any other applications on the other side of my car head unit. a simple screen splitter application that would split the screen horizontally not vertically like those are available right now would be sufficient. It should remember the applications that I had started up on each side And restore it back every time I start the application again. Even though it's such a simple ask I tried multiple applications I couldn't find anything that does this efficiently.

You could try third-party apps like "Car Launcher Pro" or custom Android ROMs that support split-screen. Just keep in mind that they might not work perfectly with your car head unit, and it might not be as smooth as Android Auto, but it could still let you run two apps side by side.
