A lot of troubles with Triumph? Motorola not fixing software? There is an alternative now.

People have choice to switch to Samsung Exhibit II 4G on T-Mobile. It is 194.98 in Walmart and has monthly no contract Monthly4G plan - 100 min talk + unlimited text + unlimited web - USD 30/Month

I compared features of Triumph and Exhibit II 4G and found that HDMI port is missing in Exhibit II 4G. However, it has FM Radio hardware, 3.0 Bluetooth, and wi-fi Hotspot (T-Mobile official).

your specs are off.

4GB ROM and 512 mb RAM.

also, I think the triumph has better specs. 4.1 inch screen. the difference is pretty big. 5MP camera that actually works very very well. ive been using it a lot more than I thought I would.

data speeds are whatever. if you have better tmo coverage get that phone.

in my area Virgin mobile speeds are on par and sometimes better than tmobile (i switched from tmo to VM)

I switched from VM to T-Mobile. I can honestly say I am very glad i did.

The T-Mobile 4g is blazing fast, and I have literally 10x more coverage with tmo than I did with Virgin.

The phone is basically a slimmed down GSII and performs great for the most part. You won't regret switching.

Dont switch to tmo if you are looking for flexibility with your plan pricing.
Not only is the 30/mo new plan geared towards the thought that you will probabky use more than 100 minutes a month, but the biggest flaw is this -
Once you get that 100min a mo plan, youre not allowed to switch back should you decide to go unlimited for one month. Then you pay $60 or 70$ assuming nobody wants 100mb of data at 50$ without that option of going back to the 30$ plan

if i switch to their 30 monthly 4g plan, can i use any phone from any carrier, as long as it has a sim card? It says that the first 5GB are up to at least 4g speeds. Is that the first 5GB a month, or 5GB for the entire plan?

I thought about it before buying my triumph. My problem is that T-mobile throttles your data down to 2G after 5 GB. I know virgin is supposed to soon, after 2.5, however they limit your throughput speeds to 256K. I can still watch netflix, crackle and so on at that speed. And I watch a LOT of video.

i cant decide between these 2!!! i have vm now and broke my curve. I love the unlimited thing with vm but the reception is shaky even though i live in a big city. I rarely talk on the phone and use about 100min. i wish more people had input about these 2 phones. i hear the triumph has alot of probs. ANy more info would be great on which phone is better any why. I wonder if i will have better reception with tmo

tmobiles coverage is great, but that phone is kinda mehh..

the Triumph is a GREAT phone (only with cm7 or MIUI roms) so if you arent comfortable putting a new rom on the phone, your better off with a phone like the exhibit II

cant beat virgins plans, but if the signal is weak in your area, seriously consider another carrier. no point paying for a plan you cant use half the time if theres no signal

think an even better option might be the new LG Mytouch, (not the Q) it seems to have better overall specs, then the exhibit

i kinda wanna jump from VM to t-mobile too, but don't really wanna be spending to money on a new phone right now (maybe VM will have a new 1ghz(+) phone by then :D )

The MT is a nice phone if you don't get a defect (otherwise ask for replacement, VM will overnight ship it for free), plus the $25 plan is hard to leave.

BTW, tmobile throttling to 2G means you could still get up to 200kbps, which is just a little less than 256kbps VM will throttle at soon.
