Hey all,

Got a question.

I just yesterday activated my Gear S2. I was forced to hit up ebay for this watch since my Gear S would no longer charge without rubber bands and I could not yet update through Verizon.

Anyway, my battery consumption yesterday was terrible so I have turned off a number of things, including the always on feature. I turned down screen brightness, turned down screen timeout to 15 seconds, turned off wake up with wrist gesture and turned off the always on display feature, which I really want to use.

The always on display feature seemed well optimized with the Gear S and I am wondering what experience you all have with this feature. Since I turned all these off, my battery this morning is amazing. I really only care to get one day battery life. I am used to charging every day. I don't mind altering the other features I mentioned but I would like to use the always on display.

I am going to try tomorrow to use the always on feature and then compare between today and tomorrow but still wondering how it has worked for all of you.

Thanks!!

I have screen brightness on 7, always-on watch face turned on, wrist gesture to wake turned off, screen time out set to 15 seconds, BT on, Wi-Fi on, and nfc off, and generally end a 16 hour day at around 50%. Have you rebooted the s2? That might help.
