Had the phone two nights. Left it both nights without connection to power, but fully charged. First night with AOD off phone was at 97% in the morning. Second night with AOD on phone was at 90% in the morning. So AOD on my S8+ appears to use 1% per hour.

Just an FYI, there's an option to schedule when AOD is active. I don't use my phone as a night clock or anything, so I have it turn off during what should be my sleeping hours.

I have not done any research but I can only assume that AOD saves me battery as on my N5 I would wake it several times a night to check the time and now I don't have to do that.
