Always On Display only as Nightstand - possible?

Did anybody tried to set the AOD only to "ON" when loading in Dock over night? Tried to adress it with Automagic app to set this automatically but no succes, anybody got another idea?

No go with AoD.
But use Chronus or Dashclock Widget, and use it in Daydream to light up when docked. That's the perfect replacement.

Wait going to try right away, had the same idea and tried with Timely but did not like the night clock, thanks for the quick reply...AOD would be the most elegant and nice solution, maybe Samsung should continue listening to us customers...

It isn't automatic, but it would at least be easy to use the AOD toggle above the notification shade. Toggle it on at bedtime and off when you get up.

not sure if this would work. but you could program a NFC tag to toggle on/off AOD on the dock or next to it.

Thx maff no bad idea, but the reason to load AOD only at night from my point was not to use AOD during the day to save some battery power, and during the night i love to have a nighstand watch in case I want to take a peak on the clock. If I use NFC, which I usually do not use because this is a battery draining option too, this would be one step forward and one step back.

@KPMcClave...like your easy solution, would be perfect if it would do automatic, but the manual variant is a good idea
