I have a S7 and it's my first Android phone and I was expecting so much. All the reviews say how brilliant it is. Though I am not finding that.
1st the battery is really good unless you use the phone the it drops like a brick.
2nd the Selfie camera, now I am not a big selfie person but when I am messing with my 2 year old it's nice to get some pics together. But it's so blurry. My wife iphone SE pees all over it for detail. That surely shouldn't be right.
3rd if you have some features on then you can't have others. That's just plain ridiculous.
Don't get me wrong there are some good bits about the phone. The form the adaptability. But these silly things from a flagship very expensive phone are just killing my experience.

As the title am I just unlucky.

1. It could depend on what exactly are you doing, whats active on the screen etc. The main difference in Android and say, an iPhone is that Android allows several apps to run in the background without getting suspended. Apple immediately suspends the apps sent to background. So, if you're not properly exiting apps, you probably have a lot running eating at your battery.
2. I'd think this is in the hands of the photographer. I've taken both blurry and good photos using the selfie cam. It's a matter of how I took it. Probably same as your case.
3. Could you elaborate?

1st I will keep an eye on that. Seems a possible reason
2nd I kind of disagree there just seems to be a fair amount of software distortion.
3rd the simplest one I found was if you have magnification gesture on and you put on AOD and it turns it off. As I personally find better use from magnification I leave AOD off. But there are others in accessibility that override others.

1. Also depends a lot on what you are doing, and where you are (signal strength). Reading an ebook gives me about 8-9% per hour using a white background (battery eater on an AMOLED screen), 50% brightness, with 4G on and the ebook syncing progress in the background. That gets me over the 11hr screen on time achieved on various review sites on release (some review sites got higher up to 14hrs,but I'd think they weren't on 4G that time). In contrast, I could get up to 13% per hour playing clash royale with the game settings set to balanced with good signal on 4G. Of course if I try that in a bad 4G signal area I get hit with up to 18% per hour. Standby time drops to 2% per hour in a good signal area with 4G on. Going down to 0.7% per hour if 4G is off. If bad signal area, standby time with 4G on can reach 5% per hour. Of course I also have dual sim so I have to contend with higher battery consumption than most, especially if I go somewhere where both carriers have low signal strength. However the second sim should have minimal effects since its data is not active.

That blurriness that ur experiencing could be from the "beauty" setting on the selfie cam. U could give that a check. It's kinda smooths everything out, but at times can make them seem blurry as well.
It's worth a shot.
