I just rooted my phone and installed the latest cyanogenmod as instructed by YouTube - Motorola Droid - How to ROOT 2.1 firmware!. Now I have a problem after I chose to install cyanogen and everything downloaded and installed when it reboots its stuck in a constant reboot cycle and i cant get past it. I dont know too much about droids, or what to do next. I had a berry and used to run hybrid os's but thats it. Any advice on how to get past the cycle or reset the phone, or do I have to buy a new one.

What were you coming from. First thing you should try is to wipe data and cache using a factory reset. Just reboot into recovery wipe data cache then try and boot the phone should work for you

You are definitely not screwed, the stuck cycle has happened to me twice already. This usually works, I'm no expert tho. Remove your phones battery, put it back it, and power up the phone by holding power and "x" at the same time. In the options, MAKE SURE TO WIPE ALL DATA AND CACHE, then try reinstalling the rom from your sdcard. With cyanogen 6, you are going from 2.1-2.2, so I would assume you need to wipe first. Mind you, I'm no expert. I'm running bugless beast v4.0 right now, and I LOVE it. Give that a try maybe if you continue having problems with cyanogen. I really hope this helps, hopefully someone more experienced than me can confirm this :)

No need to reload the rom just a wipe will work if your running clockwork recovery and you want to make sure it will work. While in recovery go into partitions menu and wipe boot system data and cache. DONT WIPE THE SDCARD then reload the rom that will solve it for sure.

That's helpful to know lol, it'll save an extra step in the process next time. Thanks for the advice!
