to break the screen :( what sucks is that I just bought an invisibleshield for it too :o

I dropped it, moderate drop, but wasnt slung down or anything. Went to pick it up and the bottom screen was cracked. I'm on the phone with asurion right now(on hold)

Ouch! First post I've seen of a cracked screen. :(

When you get your replacement Fascinate in, I advise you to put a protective case on it. Even the slip on cases will provide a bit of shock protection and a slightly raised bezel to protect the screen from direct impact.

Why is the image backwards? Did you use a mirror to take the pic?

Sorry to hear it, but I must say that I am impressed you managed to bust up Gorilla Glass like that.

yeah I knew I should have gotten at least a cheap slip on for the phone, but I liked the way the phone looked bare. I learned my lesson though, too bad it cost me $50 :( ...Idk why the pic is backwards, took the pic with my macbook pro's webcam

thats the first thing I wondered when I saw the busted screen, since I dropped my original Moto Droid a ton of times and nothing ever happened to the screen. Just my luck haha

I guess so, just got off the phone with Asurion and they said it was a $50 deductible, they'll charge $30 more if I dont return the broken phone too.

It should be $89 on the Fascinate too. Did you get the Fascinate on contract or just pay full retail and activate it? Believe it will keep the old deductible then.

1 year upgrade. I'm 100% sure the rep told me $50, just logged onto my american express account to see the charge, but it hasnt shown up yet.

Wow. That sucks. I was at a high school football game last night. I dropped my phone and the front (glass) landed right on the metal floor of the bleacher. To my surprise there wasn't so much as a nick on the phone.

The deductible depends on the insurance plan the customer has..... Some verizon wireless customers that have had Insurance for a long time are grandfathered into the old insurance plans which still work on $50 deductible even for smartphones.

If you have the old Asurion you can keep it.
Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

To the OP- bummer, dude!
