Tmobile had an offering something like that, but then stuck in an 18-24 month agreement (contact). So I kept my Note 5 and used JUMP with my Note 8. Then I can JUMP to the 10.

Anyway this tells me the Note 9 simply OVERALL isn't selling as hot as they thought it would. I mean yes demand for 512gb is higher than expected but possibly with the 128gb combined sales are less than expected.

Also, maybe Samsung is trying to lure people to order directly from them since many given up on trying to order from then due to samsung.com screwing up as usual.

I think your right regarding the sale figures, these deals after pretty aggressive. I think they just made a very limited amount of 512 because they figured low numbers but in the grand scheme of things, this is probably not selling as well.

You'll always get a better deal if you wait. The problem is, most people on this forum have to have it on day 1. Also, a lot of people don't have trade-ins to take advantage of this deal.
I've said it before. During the pre-order period, all phones should be discounted straight up. Gifts are fine. But, most people care about the price more.
