Yeah, the Franco kernel helps a lot. I don't know exactly what it does differently, but it works. I listen to podcasts stored on my phone most of the day using my bluetooth stereo headphones. Before using the franco kernel, I would consume 7-8% of the battery per hour while listening to the podcasts. After flashing the franco kernel, I'm down to about 4% an hour while listening to podcasts. Also, when idle, my phone used to consume 3-4% and hour just sitting there. After flashing the franco kernel, the it uses near 0% an hour while idle. When my phone is idle, I get long stretches of a flat line on the battery graph.
