Amazon Account issues

Does anyone know if it possible to reset the Amazon account on the Maxx HD without resetting the phone? My wife's phone is now constantly getting forced closed errors from anything Amazon. She some how got her Amazon Appstore purchases on one Amazon account, and her Amazon mp3 purchases on another account. I was trying to set up both accounts on her phone but with the way Verizon has the Amazon account built into the software, I couldn't do it and some how made anything Amazon unusable on her phone.

I am trying to avoid a hard reset of the phone, but I can't figure out any other option without some help.
 
Yeah under settings-apps-all I wiped Amazon, Amazon App Store, and Amazon mp3. It just gives me a force close error for Amazon each time.

You might try rebooting into recovery (search, I'm rooted so it's easy for me) and clearing all the cache there.
It may not be application data but the cached run time libraries and application itself. if you clear the cache it will force an on the fly recompile of everything.
 
Tired that and no luck either. It looks like I might just have to do a hard reset.

Yea, I don't know. I don't use Amazon stuff, so I can't help any more.

Yeah I can't find anything else online about it. The problem isn't with the phone as much as it is with Amazon. My wife has 2 accounts but both accounts have the same email address, just different passwords (which that part is a common Amazon issue). I've reached out to them, but they can't (or won't) combine the two accounts.

If it was my phone I would have hard reset it already, but I hate having to do it to her phone.
