Amazon Android Fire tablet 10.1 HD stopped downloading.

[Android Central Question]

When I got this Fire tablet it already had google apps on it which was strange since it was suppose to be new. Today it has been 10 days since I got this tablet and it stopped downloading. Called Amazon and they told me that the tablet was a new tablet and if there were google apps on it, I put them there plus I was informed that I downloaded over 1000 apps in the last couple of days. First I did not download google apps, do not know how. Second is it even possible to download a 1000 apps in a couple of days? They also said I added a lot of new hardware to my Fire tablet and that is why it is not downloading. How is this possible? Sorry but I am not a geek, I am 72 and was so happy with my Fire when I got it. I have cancelled by Amazon account because something is sounding very odd.

I cannot see amazon telling you that you added new hardware to the tablet when you cannot add hardware to the tablet. You must have misunderstood something. as far as downloading 1000 apps without your knowledge, that would be only if you have malware on it. Did you get the tablet from amazon or a third party? How long have you had it?

If it did download all of those apps, there is aways a chance the storage space is full so it will not download. What error message are you getting?
Might be best if you reset it to factory and start over.

Welcome to Android Central! Where exactly did you get the tablet from? Remember, anyone can easily get a machine that can seal a box in plastic wrap, making it look "brand new." If you bought it from some small independent shop, or a 3rd party online seller, then it's very likely the device was used (or worse yet, stolen property or black market).
