It seems you can't connect a Bluetooth keyboard to it just yet, but you can use a wireless keyboard that has an usb adapter to connect to the Fire TV.

This is true. I connected a usb keyboard to it without any issues. However, I tried a bluetooth keyboard and nada.

I'm hoping this changes soon. It's nice being able to use a keyboard, but having it tethered to the device is so 90s... Gotta have bluetooth connectivity!

Oh yeah... Was joking. That's how I connected the keyboard. I have a small receiver that fits in the USB slot for a wireless keyboard.

Just purchased this from Groupon. It is a mini wireless keyboard with a touchpad mouse:

Yeah, it is small. However, it will be much easier to use than having a full size keyboard in my lap.
