Hey guys,

Amazon is listing the Xoom's list price as $999.99. I always thought the list prices were pretty unreliable but man that's wrong. They then have the gall to tell customers that they're saving them $200. Also, Amazon Wireless is trying to sell the Xoom off contract for 829.99, what gives? Just Amazon being crazy? I think so, but thought I'd share the ridiculousness with you all.

Forgot the link...http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-XOOM-Android-Verizon-Wireless/dp/B004NNVHUC/ref=amb_link_355382222_3?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=top-2&pf_rd_r=14T4EBT1T2CB6TE40YDN&pf_rd_t=301&pf_rd_p=1289501262&pf_rd_i=xoom

And for Amazon Wireless:

That's a common tactic a lot of retailers use to spoof customers into thinking they're saving money. My local grocery store even does it. "Retail price: $2.99" "Our price: $2.09" -- meanwhile, everyone is selling it for that price. I've seen Amazon do it with a lot of phones. They did it with the Fascinate when it first came out. They were showing the list price at $329.99.
