So since I've had the gnex I've been keeping all my music in the Amazon cloud and not keeping any music local. Lately when I try to stream music from Amazon the app will lock up and I have to force close it.

My question is do you keep your music on the local storage or in the cloud.

I do both. I haven't had any crashes when streaming, though. I think I have 8GB of music locally.

Well I have mine backed up to the cloud as well. I meant as a primary storage. It was weird that it kept crashing. Pandora streamed fine so I know it wasn't a network issue.

I use Google music which I think is far and beyond better than Amazon. On my Dinc used Amazon's music player but had a lot of issues with buffering, what I've noticed is that with Google music is that if it finishes buffering one song it will start buffering the next which means that when I'm in my car I rarely have to wait for the next song to load. Also I noticed that Google's interface just runs more smoothly than Amazon.

I think the interface is smoother. But I hate having to go to amazon when I want to buy something. Google music seems to be more expensive for single songs. $1.29 vs $0.99 adds up.

Everything Is either through rdio or Google music. Nothing local

I recently explored Rdio and it's been great.

I have about 80 GBs of music. How much would it be to store on Google Music?

I know 20,000 songs are free but can you pay for more?

Also, What are the privacy rules like? Can you get in trouble if you have a few illegally d/led songs? ;)

As a music player would you say Google or Amazon is better?

Anybody care to share their experiences with these 2 music players

Has anyone had any battery drain issues related to Amazon MP3? In settings it says it updates your cloud drive every 10 minutes.

Never noticed that it syncs every 10 min. No option to change it either. It do sent show up in my list of apps using battery in settings. Don't think it uses much but I'd rather have it use no battery.
