I read yesterday that evo 3d will be coming out on the 24th. I got my nexus S, I love the phone but I love to have the latest and greatest phone. Nexus was the best sprint had when I ordered it and I needed a phone very bad.

I called amazon wireless and told them the truth, that I wanted to get the evo. The guy said it is not guaranteed they will have the same day. I told him I have always seen them get phones with in days or the same day they launch. I did understand that he didn't wann guarantee anything.

Right after that no questions asked my return/exchange window was extended to july 8th, he noted my account, he said if you see it on our site on the 24th, just call us and we will send you evo 3d and when you recieve it send us Nexus back.

I call that taking care of a customer. If some of you have recently purchased the phone and wanna get the evo 3d just call them up and tell them the truth and I am sure they will help you out. I got a 14 day extension on my return window.

I just got my one time extension confirmation email as well.

Amazon is the best, they have always bent over backwards for me. I was having problems with a new macbook pro, and although it was not their fault and they could have easily told me to deal with Apple about it, they paid to have it sent back to them, sent me out a new one immediately overnight, and gave me 200 dollars off the computer for my troubles.

They'll always get my business. I'm hoping they have a pre-order on the evo 3d because I'll absolutely order from them. Did they have pre-orders on the Nexus S?

It is there for pre-order but when you click on the phone it gives an error so I think the link should be up in a matter of hours or a day or two. You have to browse by provider, click sprint and it is towards the bottom, says available for preorder but page comes up empty. I am just glad they will have it on the 24th.

I can confirm that Amazon Wireless is awesome as well. I posted this on another thread, but it seems appropriate here as well.

I ordered the wife an Epic, and me an Evo over Memorial Day holiday. Because the Epic is backordered, I am still waiting on my phone. I emailed Amazon today about whether or not I would be able to switch my 4G Evo with the 3D once the 3D came out on the 24th, and the rep answered (within an hour or so, btw) that it would be no problem to do that (though he wasn't sure if they would get the 3D on the exact same day).

Assuming this actually happens (and I'm about 99% sure it will), Amazon Wireless will have a customer for LIFE.

Thats pretty excellent customer service, good deal for you. Serious question though. If you are getting rid of the Nexus cause you always need to have the latest and greatest, are you going to ask them if you can return the Evo 3D when the Nexus 3 comes out with specs that blow the 3D out of the water later this year? Where does it end?

Nope. I dont go returning phones. I am not that type. I recently switched to Sprint and got the nexus. I however change my phones every 8 months or so. I usually sell my phones and buy a new one at retail price. I dont go asking for exchanges, and that aint right either. To be honest with you I didnt think I was going to switch so I thought what the hell, I would just call up amazon and it was so easy that I was tempted.

I really highly doubt Nexus 3 will blow the 3d out of water. Latest gen snapdrago dual core with adreno 220 should be plently for atleast a year in my case, lol. I highly doubt Nexus 3 will have anything better than a dual core or 1gb or ram, it will however probably have Ice cream sandwich, but O well.

The Evo 3D is available for preorder by the way at amazon now. 179.99

I am gonna call tomorrow to see if I can place an order so when I recieve the evo I can send back the nexus.

That was how I assumed things went down for you with the EVO 3D.

I applaud your honesty when dealing with Amazon. It always rubs me the wrong way when people make false "defective" claims to switch phones when they were just too impatient to wait for the one they wanted.

You're unreal, man. How you don't think you're a troll is beyond rational thinking.

Seems like he's asking a fair question...

You're obviously unfamiliar with our friend, FocusFreak and his never-ending love for his Nexus phone. He takes any and every chance he can to let everyone on this EVO 3D forum know how great his choice of phones is and how terrible the 3D stacks up against it. Read the following a little closer and you'll see what I mean. Notice he could have mentioned any other future, yet-to-be-released phone to make his statement but he naturally chose his beloved Nexus line. Take a few minutes to read up on his past posts in this forum. It should make sense then.

question for anyone who has preordered a phone from amazon wireless: how quickly did you get it? i was just about to order it, but the arrival date was 7/1, which is not cool even if i do save $20+. :-[

i have obviously preordered other stuff from them (books, dvds, etc) and with 2 day shipping it actually comes on release day or before. i don't care if it comes exactly on the 24th, but i don't wanna wait a whole week for it either.

Yea, thats about what I do. I get a new phone every year, sometimes twice in a year. Sell my old one and pay retail if I dont have an upgrade. The Nexus 3 will indeed have much better specs than the 3D. Its rumored it will run a quad core processor, possibly the Tegra 3 and 1.5 to 2GB of RAM. We will see.

just got off the phone with the rep. He said their system is not prepped with doing exchanges. He had me order the evo 3d at full price and he said he is going to edit the price to 179.99 and send me another confirmation email with the discounted price. Also email me the return label and everything and all I need to do is send the phone back once I get the evo.

As I was typing this I got another confirmation email stating disregard the price in the order and they have adjusted the price to 179.99. The expected date is june 29th to july 1st for the delivery of the phone. I am sure I will get it on the 29th if they do **** them out 24th. I think they are going by estimated ship date of the 27th (monday). since they have a 2day delivery on the phones.

Just rechecked my order status to verify and the price is 179.99 for my order.

Just popping in to say I had the same good experience with Amazon. I made the mistake of purchasing an HTC Arrive on June 1 (from Amazon). I've had it for one week now, and I hate it. It's not defective, I just realized once I got it that it's not the ideal phone for me. The OS seemed cool and pretty usable when I played with it a bit at the Sprint store, but two days in I realized I just wasn't going to be satisfied with this phone. I planned to return it to Amazon for the Nexus S, but then I learned about the EVO 3D. I called last night and they arranged for the return of the Arrive (with a prepaid return label) and an adjusted price of $179.99 for the EVO 3D. As was previously posted, I had to actually purchase it at full, off contract price, and then she manually adjusted the price. She did ask me to return the phone asap, but the email with the shipping label says the return must be made within 30 days. She was quick to tell me there is no guarantee that the phone will ship out this month, it could even be weeks after the release date before it ships - so buyer beware on that. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it does ship on the 24th, so that I can hang onto this phone until the 3D arrives, rather than switch to my blackberry, return the Arrive, then switch the line again when I get the 3D.

At any rate, I've been a loyal Amazon customer for years, and I have had consistently wonderful experiences with them. I know their cellular department may actually be a separate entity, but I'm hoping for the same fast, reliable service I've come to expect from Amazon.

I ordered from Amazon for the first time, can anyone confirm that there is no Sprint activation fee if you order through Amazon or is that something I will have to haggle with Sprint about? If I have to pay the activation fee the price differential plus the wait may not be worth it.

Also How long do I have to cancel an order? Until it ships I assume

Just hedging my bets, in case I can get one by 6/22 with SP

I had never ordered from Amazon before but I pulled the trigger on the HTC EVO 3D from them on Thursday night.

My Samsung Epic will be handed over to my wife upon it's arrival. :)

also wanna add amazon has a great price if your going full price (unlockled)... i pre-ordered with radio shack but when the e-mail came saying $599 for full price i had to make sure that was the best deal... Amazon beats it by $130!! when you add to cart price is $469.

i think it's a mistake by amazon though btw so all beter hop on it quick!!
the site shows full retail price $499 then discounted to $469.

im just sayin
