According to the battery use menu on my phone, there's a process called ami304d that apparently has used 4% of my battery so far. I'm not familiar with this process, and my googling has brought up that it's related to sensors or the kernel. I'm using (for all intensive purposes) Harmonia 1.7 with the new kernel to support the newer Optimus V's

dunno if it's got something to do with the stock lg kernel, pica didn't change very much in the source.
I remember seeing it more when I first got an OV rather than later after I started running gingerbread roms.
maybe due to a different launcher than stock? the stock launcher doesn't rotate, so wouldn't run the ami304 daemon as heavily as a launcher or other app trying to see if you changed the orientation of the phone on a regular basis.

And for the record it's "for all intents and purposes" haha

Ahh that's probably it then, I'm using launcher pro.

Nah I was having very intensive purposes ;) haha

If you don't turn your screen off before you put your phone in your pocket. Or carry it around, the screen will keep rotating with every step you take. That might be causing the drainage

Nope I definitely turn the screen off, and a lot of the time I actually have screen rotation off in the display menu (I like to lay down and browse on my phone) but occasionally I have it on

I have discovered this myself and upon further reading of forums have read that sometimes apps use the ami304d driver. I don't know how it will affect the phone but after 2 hours its been on a minute so I'm not too worried about it as of yet.
