My main concern isn't so much the size but the Amoled display. Will it cause screen burn-ins? I have that problem with a Samsung device and desperately want to avoid it on my next device

I have had a Samsung Galaxy s2 skyrocket, s3, s4, nexus 5, Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and note 4, and iPhone 3GS and 4 and of those 5 had Amoled screens. I never had burn in issues with any of them. You also do realize you can get burn in with LCD?

I have seen burn in on a Samsung Galaxy s5 but it was a store model but never seen it in a personal model be it mine or a friends

I have seen some screen burn-in on my Moto X (1st Generation) but nothing major like I experienced with the Galaxy Nexus I had. I think that is what occurs due to the onscreen buttons. At the same time there are some people that don't have the screen burn-in. You should also be able to get rid of the burn-in by just keeping your phone plugged in while going into the settings and setting it so the display is always on and having your phone on a white background for a few hours. I have heard that this has worked for some people.

the only phones i've ever had that had burn in were the Galaxy Nexus and first generation Droid Maxx. any other AMOLED screen hasn't given me the problem.

Only if you leave you screen on the same image for hours on end every day, you will get burn in. That's just the nature of Amoleds. Galaxy Nexus was really bad, Note 3 little bit bad but noticeable.

Hi, thanks for the reply. As you probably already know, burn-ins occur when the image is displayed on the screen (same spot) for an extended time. You probably didn't experience that problem with your Samsung devices because you didn't have that image there for a long time. I've got friends who do the same thing I do with another device with an LCD display and it doesn't happen.

I've had a Note 2 that I used in conjunction with the app "Bedside" as a night stand alarm clock & never had any issues. I'm glad the screen is amoled as my Nexus 5 screen is suffering heavily from light bleed.
