What? Playing local media on Android Auto is far from a new feature. It has always been possible for AA-enabled apps that play local media.

Android auto is a poor imitation of maps, but I am forced to use it because Honda adopted it for their cars. All I care is that I can use my USB port so that I can play my music that I own that I purchased and put on a USB port. I don't want anyone else's music Services.

My biggest complaint is the navigation sound quality. The voice sounds terrible. It's not just limited to a specific HU, it's in general.

If I don't use AA and output audio via 3.5mm it's crystal clear.

I've been using PowerAmp for many years to play my local mp3 files from my phone and it is recognized by Android Auto already. It's not a new thing to have my local audio files at my fingertips in Android Auto.
