And now for something different.

Well, probably not. I'm an artist with nerdy aspirations.

So, I traded an older laptop for a pair of LG Optimus S phones. Not like my niece and nephew could do anything with them, they're technologically inept and managed to build up a phone bill faster than they could pay for it. (One does not necessarily follow the other.) Anyway, no cell coverage for me. Sprint is terrible in my area, so that didn't bother me in the least. One is coffee damaged and has an interesting screen pattern as a result; it smells wonderful when it gets hot. :P

I'm running the 5/9 Reborn rom on one, and ThundeRom 1.6.9 (I think?) On the other. It works, so I leave that one alone for my husband, and I'm just shy of flashing a Gingerbread rom on mine. Aosp's, I think. I don't think its current flaws will affect my usage, and I see people are actively improving it. (Hooray for Netflix!)

If anyone who cares actually reads the introduction forum, I would like to thank the very helpful, productive, and informative people over in the Optimus S forum, not in the least for giving these poor little gadgets a second chance at life.

We do care and do read the introduction forum everyday and I like your story. Welcome to Android Central glad to hear your finding all the information you need to play with your Optimus S.
