So I'm reading that with this update. Pixel 6 and above are supposed to get the weather app. When I went to a link on one of the tech sites, I get this from the app store. But the app isn't even installed on my phone, like I can't see it in the app drawer. Just wondering if anyone on a pixel 8 Pro has the weather app yet.

Have had it for quite a while, but had it disabled as I never used it. Checked it when I saw your post and it says no longer compatible with the Pixel 8 Pro.

That's so strange because I've never had that app. And all the tech sites are reporting that that weather app is coming to all pixel phone 6 and up so we should be getting it?

I sent feedback to Google that their Weather app is shown to be no longer compatible with the Pixel 8 Pro and that no alternative/updated Google app is shown in apps/Google Play Store. You might consider doing so as well.

I still have the old weather app when I tap the At a Glance temp number. And that's a good thing. The new app looks like crap and has a 2.4 out of 5 rating in the Play store.

I'm not sure if we are talking about the same app as I just use the widget but it now says Pixel Weather. The app is not viewable in the app drawer but is listed as *Weather" in ALL APPS.

Interesting. I don't see a "Pixel Weather" app made by Google in the Play Store. There are "Pixel Weather" apps made by other developers shown in the Play Store. I'm wondering if the Google Weather app was taken out of circulation for Pixels for some reason and the replacement (Pixel Weather?) just hasn't dropped yet.

It still shows as "Weather" in the app store when I click on it thru ALL APPS but now shows the incompatible message. The widget is the only thing that shows Pixel Weather and works fine so IDK.

Now I'm seeing reports that certain missing features will be released in phases in the future . Not sure why reports of earlier Pixels (6!) have most of the fun already but have to assume that there is a reason. I'm not complaining... Just sharing.

I did contact Google today, tech support said they are aware of the issue of the weather app saying it's not compatible with the pixel 8 Pro and they are working on a fix.

New to this forum, I have both a Pixel 7 and Pixel 8. Updated to A15 on P7 and dont see the new weather app, it is just the old weather. When I go to the play store for the app, it says app is not supported like already reported here.

Now trying to update my Pixel 8.

Yeah I posted about this earlier. I called Google they are aware of the issue and they said they're working on a fix for this. Because we should all have the weather app now.

Some Pixel 7/8 users are reporting that they have received it, so it shouldn't be long now. Updates do not hit all phones at the same time.

Update: Received it and took a look. IMHO, it's alright, but nothing special and nothing to get excited about. Staying with my much better 3rd-party app for the time being.
