I have a One Plus 7 Pro running Android 10.

I always have my phone in dark mode, but since upgrading to Android 10 any time I get in my car and use android auto it changes my theme settings from Dark Mode to Light Mode.

Is anyone else having this issue? Is it Limited to one plus phones? is there a known work around?

This same problem has been been affecting the Pixel after Android 10, do it's not exclusive to OP devices. Have you already updated to the 10.0.01 version? I'm not sure if they have fixed it.

I'm not sure it's broken as I think it's intended to be that way. I drive early in the morning and my phone will stay in dark mode when it's dark outside and my headlights are on. When the sun comes up and my headlights turn off my dash will go to daytime mode and the phone will follow suit. But as soon as I unplug the USB my phone will go right back to dark mode as I had it prior to driving.

Really not sure how that is an issue, more of a nuance than an issue imo

The problem is it does not revert to my setting once I unplug it. It stays on Light and I have to manually choose dark again.

To be Clear, This is effecting on a setting on my phone. I choose dark theme for my entire phone. If I use android auto it changes my phones global them from Dark to Light, and when I unplug the phone I have to go in to settings and choose dark mode again. How is that not an issue?

I updated to 10.0.01 today at work. When I go home I will find out if it is fixed

Gotcha...
I was reading it as it was just displaying android auto in light mode...
Also I have android 10 on my s10+ and I have dark mode enabled on my phone and it remains dark even after android auto is disconnected, but android auto isn't displayed in dark theme.

My deck will switch from dark to light depending on my cars lights, but always when I unplug my phone it has reverted to light theme

Having this issue on Pixel 3 as well. When it flips to light mode and I manually change it back to dark in global settings the map in the car switches back to night mode.

Well, I had a pixel 4 for about 5 weeks and it never had this issue. Now I am back to a OnePlus (7t Pro Mclaren) and it has this issue. Dont know what could be causing it. Perhaps a setting?

All I did in my car was hit this button and the screen goes from white or dark mode

That is not the issue really.

I have my lighting set to automatic. So, when its bright outside my deck is is daytime mode and when its dark outside my deck goes to night mode, as it should.

The problem is, if I unplug my phone when my deck is in day mode, the phone stays in light mode instead of reverting back to the dark them that I had selected. This did not happen on my Pixel 4xl, it is only happening on my oneplus phones.

The deck should be automatic but should not "Over write" the set theme of the phone.

My 7Pro does the same thing plus after running AA for a few minutes I cannot use the touch screen to change or check notifications. My Pixel 3 has no problems. Both are on the latest firmware.

I don't have an issue with the screen not working.

Also of note I did not have this problem on Android 9, only after upgrading to 10
