Android 11 message every morning

I updated to android 11 a few days ago and ever sense I get a message every morning saying Android 11: to finish updating, restart your device. I do that and see the same message the next day. Is this normal?

Hi, try going into settings>apps>system apps>system UI and tap >go to storage and clear data and force stop

You just got your phone recently, so it may be catching up on updates. I've seen this before, like when I recently got a 3a XL for my parents. Updates won't be installed in one cumulative update -- you need to do them sequentially. Keep accepting the updates, and to be sure, keep an eye on the Security Patch month -- it should get increasingly more recent with each update. Once you get up to this month, it should stop.

i was kind of thinking this was the case. The phone was android 9 when I got it, then updated to 10, and I think the next day, to 11. Having a blackberry keyone, I was getting updated like twice a year so I am not used to having a phone that is current. We'll just watch and see.

Keep a eye on it but your on andriod 11 and at this point no further updates so shouldn't see that message anymore

But all of the monthly security patches after the Android 11 update would still trigger a system update notification, so it's still worth checking which month of security patch you're currently on. If you're up to June, then I agree that you shouldn't get any more system update notifications.
