I got a notice that the Android 11 update is available I am hesitant to do the update I've read of a few people having issues. Curious how many of you have done the update which phone version you have and how it's going

The people that have had issues is few and far between compare to the people whom haven't. I wouldn't worry about it. You'll be fine.

Personally, I wish that I had not updated my N20U. I use many Good Lock apps (especially Navstar) & it's going to be awhile until the 2021 version comes out. Also, I have a pretty full featured Kustom Live Wallpaper (KLWP) Theme that I use (& love) and it is hinky. My homemade app Launcher takes 5-10 seconds for an app to open. I'm using Nova Launcher but many are complaining about KLWP needing an update. The Dev is great but I just wish I waited until my favorite apps were all updated to move to Android 11.
Last, Nova Launcher probably needs an update too. Every now & then I see OneUI 3.0 Overlaying my Nova home screen. Annoying.
Now that I'm aware of these issues (on my phone) I will wait to update my Z Fold 2.
I suggest looking at some discussions regarding your own favorite apps & how they work with Android 11 before you take the plunge.

So I updated to the 3.0 tmobile firmware via Odin to my factory unlocked note 20 ultra. And so far the phone appears to be working normally however, One of my main reasons for moving over to the T Mobile firmware was for the RCS messaging with samsung messages and its benefits of RCS integrated with the Samsung eco system. However unlike my Note 10 had the T mo splash screen. My N20U does not have the splash screen. Also I have notice I can not turn of my delivery notification in one of my group chats..... Annoying

You can perform a partition cache clear. It is as effective as a factory reset at cleaning out new OS/security update bugs without the hassle of having to back up data.

I have att locked note 20 ultra and I updated to android 11. Besides certain Goodlock modules not working everything else has been good for me. Although I have not checked all my 300+ apps, a good majority of the ones I use frequently are fine.I didn't do a factory reset , but I did do a cache partition wipe.

I think that's an exaggeration. There are occasional reports of unsuccessful cache-clearing followed by successful factory resetting. So clearing the cache is often effective, but it's not quite as effective as a factory reset. These days, though, it's unusual to need to do either one.

Factory unlocked N20U, running with a Verizon SIM and installed the update to Android 11 this morning and have been giving it a workout since then. No problems yet!

Last night I ended up updateing to Android 11. So far, I've seen zero issues and tested out quite a few apps. The only one thing Ithink the fingerprint feels like I have to press just a little firmer to get it to register. Other than that, nothing is "off".

I wish I had waited................Got it on my unlocked Note 20 Ultra about a week ago and it's sucking he battery over twice as fast as on Android 10. Booted to recovery and cleared the cache and that hasn't helped. 10 hours overnight on a full charge it would only lose 3-4% and now on Android 11 , UI 3.0 while sitting idle overnight it loses almost 20%. If I can't find what to do soon I'll try a FDR!
