Android 12 + Pixel 5a + Omron connect app et alle

I've replaced my Pixel 4a with a 5a. While loading up the apps to match (the 5a to tje 4a) I've seen a few "this app is not optimized for your device" And then Android 12 was installed.

(How is it that apps that worked on the 4a are less than compatible with a 5a?)

Omron Connect is an example, I had a _time_ getting the Bluetooth pairing establish and now I'm seeing the Omron icon continually, whether or not I've got the app loaded and running - I can't get rid of it. Gotta be something I've not done correctly but what?

Just because an app isn't optimized for a device doesn't necessarily mean it won't work. It may just mean that the app hasn't been updated to comply fully with more current versions of Android, so it acts as a warning that glitches or incompatibility might occur. Updating the apps is up to the developer, not Google.
