Android 15 upgrade problem

It may not be a problem but it was my own fault. I was on the Beta program on my Pixel 9 Pro. I didn't get the update to the stable version today which makes sense.

I finally left the program this afternoon and it wiped my phone which I expected. I had to set it up from scratch because the other method seemed to loop back and reset again after the first time. Weird.

Setting up from scratch solved that problem but it requires me to set up all my apps and settings which is a pain because I haven't set it up from scratch in years. It's probably a good thing.

Anyway I am on ANDROID 14 now and it doesn't offer an update to Android 15.

Will I get that upgrade soon?

Thanks. I got impatient. I should have known. It's time consuming to set my Pixel 9 Pro XL up again but I definitely needed to call out a bunch of apps. At a certain point it's supposed to let you leave without wiping. It always wipes when I do it.

Yeah Google's roll back I Never trust not to wipe lol

Haven't gotten the upgrade to stable 15 or an October security update yet but I do have my Pixel 9 Pro XL set up like I like it and it's running great on Android 14. I have a Pixel 8a enrolled in Beta so I will leave it like that. Maybe next week.

I got 15 yesterday. Just have to go to settings and search for update.

I haven't received the update yet. I usually wait until I get an update notification and offer for the stable version without the factory reset.

I just checked on my Pixel 9 Pro XL and Android 15 is ready to install. I will wait till later today as it is a bit over 1GB in size.

My Pixel 8a is still on Beta 15. It hasn't gotten the update yet either. Although just now it said that "Updates are temporarily paused. Try again later"

Thoughts?

I think that since the Pixel 7, updates are not sent out quite as quickly or consistently as they were with earlier versions of the Pixel.

Same issue here on 9 Pro. Opted out of the QPR beta and did a wipe so I could get the stable 15 version. My 9 Pro is still stuck on 14. My Pixel 7 updated right away on the 15th. I recall a similar issue on my 8 pro coming off of the beta. It took Google a week or so to aknowledge the issue but they eventually sent out a patch and after applying it, I was able to upgrade.

Android 15 QPR1 Beta 3 is supposed to be imminent. In my case it's the Pixel 8a.
