Android 2.1 upgrade for unlocked Orange phone in Canada

Hi,

As the post describes, I have an HTC Hero (GSM version) unlocked from Orange and working with Rogers in Canada. Now, I am not sure, how can I get the 2.1 upgrade? I tried exploring the menu and didn't find any option to check FOTA upgrade. I have stock ROM etc. Any suggestions/advice?

The aim is to get 2.1 upgrade !!

Did you try going menu>settings>about phone>system upgrades-(something like that).?

yeah, tried as the first step but there is no option in it. I was reading through the forums and found that first part of the upgrade makes that option available but don't know if it is true or not. At present, I am lost :-(

Ill look around and see if i can find something about it,if not just hang in there till tomorrow when more people are online and im pretty sure someone around here will know something.
