android 2.3.4 and google talk?

hey anyone know when or if this update will be coming soon? i know htc is known to push updates out pretty quick, usually one of the first to get the updates. Just wanted to know because now you have the photon (1st non google phone) ahead of the game with 2.3.4. And i definitely would like to try the google talk video feature soon.....

The Photon doesn't do Google Talk video chat. Any review that says it does is BS.

2.3.4 is a maintenance release that adds several bug fixes and patches to the Android 2.3 platform, without any API changes from Android 2.3.3. Additionally, Android 2.3.4 brings support for the Open Accessory API to mobile devices. I'm sure HTC is hard at work trying to push it out along with any other updates they need to include.

I'm holding a Photon in my hand right now with Google Talk open and there's no option for "video chat" anywhere.

I'll also note that not 1 of the reviews of the phone has mentioned it having Google Talk video support. And MobileTechReview, in their video review, went as far as to dispel the rumor that it does. Also, if you read to the end of the 1st link, the Motorola forum manager had this to say on the matter:

"We expect this to be enabled in a future update. There is no hard date at this time of then it will be available.

Since your girlfriends phone is able to access Google Talk video chat, I'm sure all the Photon owners would be eternally grateful if you would be so kind as to post pics or video and instructions on how to access it.

Lol. Yeah, I pretty much figured that was gonna be the case after I responded to him. I've had the pleasure of playing around with a loaner for 2 days now and video chat with GTalk was 1 of the 1st things I looked for since the phone runs 2.3.4. Oh well....
