I've started seeing some 4.2.2 ROMs. If you've installed one, I'd be curious to hear your experience. So far I've found CarbonRom 1.1 and there's also a LiquidSmooth rom on 4.2.2.

I flashed CarbonRom 1.1 today. There were actually 2 releases. The older one dated 14 Feb isn't available for download anymore. I haven't seen a changelog for it yet though. I'm runnign it with Kt747 kernel. CarbonRom 1.0 was 4.2.1 and ran great with excellent battery life.

I had some issues with the 4.2.2 install. I installed the latest GApps, which are 4.2.1 and Google Search wouldn't update. Also, several of my apps had errors during the auto download and install. I was able to install most of those manually. For Google Search I had to use Titanium Backup to change it to a user app and uninstall it. After that I reinstalled via the Play Store. After that everything was kosher.

I haven't found any real issues with CarbonRom 1.1 other than that. A2DP bluetooth works well with good sound quality. The phone auto connects to 2 bluetooth devices simultaneously. I could never find a TW rom that could do that.

Any other experiences?

I am also running CarbonROM 1.0, waiting for a changelog before upgrading. it's pretty sweet and I am happy with it. I find it provides all the features and integration that most users want, unlike PA,, PACman and the like that have two overlapping/colliding control apps and then PA Settings on top.

Did you dirty flash or clean install Carbon 1.1? I'm hoping for some guidance on upgrade, even though my inclination is to always clean install and reoutfit with inverted apps as needed.

My understanding is that the 14 Feb build just lacked the Linaro and a couple of tweaks, so it was either an error or testing.

Concerning the 14 Feb build, that's what I heard as well. It's not available for download on Goo.im anymore though. The team does state that a changelog is coming soon.

I've been running CarbonRom 1.1 15Feb version for a day now. The only issues I've had are those in my post above. Everything else works fine.

In any case, it's really smooth. Bluetooth audio is great. It's better than the 4.2.1 Roms out there. CarbonRom 1.0 is very good though. I was able to get very good battery life on it. Too soon to say how 1.1 will do battery wise, but it looks promising.

I dirty flashed Carbon1.1 over 1.0 and I didn't notice that I was going from 4.2.1 to 4.2.2 until he updated the xda post title. I haven't noticed any issues with the ROM yet. bluetooth audio works well, battery life seems to be pretty decent and wifi tether works as long as you are using a kernel other than stock. I'm using LK2.6 and it's been working great. google now also works fine for me.
