Hi
Let me first ask you to watch Gary Explains video about ram optimization here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9prht-PcWY
So the crucial difference between iOS and Android is that iOS compress background process to ~15% of its original size while android can only do upto ~90%.
So i've been using a galaxy s4 which has 2GB of ram with Android 6.0 and 7.1 LineageOS custom roms.
And I noticed that in 7.0 while having same apps in background than 6.0 version, the amount of free ram is considerably higher than Marshmallow.
My theory is ,did Android achieve the same compression level as iOS ?
Did some research but none seems to talk about it
