I have HTC U11 and Subaru Impreza wagon 2015. Previously I was running android 7 and connected with the Subaru Starlink Pandora without any problem and now with android 8.0 doesn't work only if I use as a Bluetooth only. Flying on United Airlines their WiFi website down't support android 8.0. If I try to use with the USB cable to control the hardware of Subaru stereo system will not work. These two are only example pf the issues.

Any suggestion. I dont want to change mu HTC U11 because is a great phone nad we love it.

Please advice.

Thank you.

Bernard

Hate to piggyback on OPs question but I didn't feel the need to start a new thread.

Does anyone know if they're ever going to address the metadata issue of not passing song info via bluetooth to some people's cars?? Ever since I upgraded to 8.0 this has been broke in my 2012 mazda 3. I'm hoping the age of my car isn't the problem. I just switched to Bluetooth AVRCP 1.6 and repaired w/ no success. Hoping someone else might be able to help out w/ this. It's literally just a nuisance and nothing more but it would be a nice feature to have back.

@Mooklekillsit with regard to your Mazda 3 not showing media and track information.

I have a 2012 Mazda 3 and I also had a the media and track information not displaying problem once I moved to my older HTC One E9+ Dual Sim (Andriod 5.0) and then after with my newer HTC U11+ (Android 8.0).

Also, I drive a few different makes and models of cars. While I can have media and track information display just fine on 2018 and 2019 Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Nissan and Toyota makes and models, the Subaru 2018 Liberty and 2019 Forester both do not display anything other than unknown title , unknown album and unknown artist and both also have trouble changing tracks via the touch screen and the change button on the steering wheel.
