Android 8.0 Update question

Updated my new Samsung Galaxy S7 from 7.0 Nougat to 8.0 Oreo last week.

Since Oreo is the last android update for the Samsung Galaxy S7, will there still be security updates pushed out when necessary?

I'd guess no, since the phone is already more than 2 years old, and most companies only guarantee security updates for up to 2 years at the most.

Sounds reasonable...in that case, I am looking forward to using my S7 for many years to come
