I have a Pixel 3. Wife has iphone 8. Sometimes either she or I leave the phone in the house and then we are wondering/worrying where it is. iphones have a Find My Phone and Android has that too. But they don't do it cross platform. I can't use the native app on my Android to find her phone and she can't use the IOS Find My Phone on her iphone 8 to find mine.

So we both just loaded Life360 and that works. But it says that it uses about 10% more battery than not running it. I assume that is 10% more than what is normally being used by the location services that Android is running or Apple is running. If that's the case I'd be open to better solution. Battery life is very important to me. Anybody know of a better way?

There are quite a few ways. One is to both use Google maps in pedestrian /share location mode. Viber has settings which would work. There are a bunch more, you may want to do a Google search.

Yeah Google Maps 'Location Sharing' is much like iPhone's 'Find Friends' app only not as reliable. It show your (or your phone' location at anytime you like. Me and my wife do that. She's iPhone and I'm Android.

Do you have high precision toggled on? It should show you within a few feet of your actual location.

Yeah. I always do. It's not the location accuracy I have trouble with more how often you get errors locating people or their location doesn't refresh when you know they're elsewhere. Apple's version is flawless and far more reliable. I've spoken to quite a few people on here that say the same

You may want to check your syncing frequency. If properly configured, you should be able to see movement in near real time.
