OK, so I am rooted and have adb enabled. I would like to be able to download some of my favorite android apks to my windows pc so I can sideload the to the fire. I have found several site that have them, but then I either get referred to the market that only recognizes my evo or transformer, or find that google interferes with my download. Any help?

Ah- the problem was trying to download from gootle chrome. IE works. Now if I could just get some of the apps to work.

You could download the apps from the market on your evo then email the apks to an account you can check on your fire. Then save the apks on the fire and install using something like Astro file manager.

Just to expand on the previous answer, once you download the apps from the market, you can back them up to apk files in any file manager, for example astro. I prefer to transfer them via dropbox since sometimes the apks are too big to email directly.

If you don't have a dropbox account, I highly recommend it. I never have to plug my android devices into the computer, I use dropbox to transfer all of my files.

If you don't have a dropbox account you can click here to get one and you will get an extra 500 MB of free space.

Why not install market on fire? No, chrome isn't available but dolphin hd works fine.
