Android Auto and Waze on S8 +

I currently have an open ticket issue to Waze, but I was hoping someone else may have a quicker solution. S8+, Android Auto (AA) and Waze. Waze will run normally when not connected to AA. Once I connect to AA it never updates and just stays in the same location. Google Maps is working fine with AA, and Waze worked fine in the same car on my old S4 Active. I know it's an AA/Waze issue somehow tied to this phone. Is anyone else seeing the same thing, and if so how did you fix it? Thanks
