Android Auto bluetooth streaming not working with 6.0.1

Bluetooth audio stopped working with Android Auto now that I upgraded to 6.0.1. The audio comes out of the phone speaker instead of the car speakers. I paired the phone again and that didn't help. Any ideas?

I fixed the issue by going back to 5.1.1.

I've since received the OTA 6.0.1 update (first update was a manual update). I reset the phone before installing it and Android Auto works as it should.
