My usb connection is very touchy, if I wiggle connection at base of pixel 5, it drops. I purchased a new usbc cord from verizon and it has not helped.

Is this normal?

Connection to a 2019 Subaru Forester

Thanks

May just be some form of dirt has got into your usb connection port. Has happened to me on my Huawei Mate 20 pro... I very gently used a wooden cocktail stick to ferret the crap out and it did the trick. HTH, David.

What happens with my pixel 5 on my 2018 accord sport 2.0T is that a lot of the times, I’ve got to wind up plugging , unplugging, and reconnecting my phone 3-4 times before a good android auto connection is made. I’ve gotten used to it for the most part, but it can still get annoying though unfortunately...

so it is not the cord, but a pixel issue?
usbc doesn't feel snug, I can wiggle it.

LOL Take a staple and bend it and gently scrape out the lint in the USB c port...That is the problem. If you need to see how to do it, there are 20 youtube vids on it. Its not exclusive to any phone its just pocket lint...you can thank us later.

Once you clean the lint out you can test it by holding the phone upside down by a USB-c cord...It will be so snug it won't fall out.

I mean that’s a wonderful suggestion! However, my USB-C connection is snug, and tight. However, sometimes I still get a connection issue with my accord sport and my pixel five. Sometimes it does take 2 to 3 connection tries to get a good connection. My charging port is clean. LOL

I tried cleaning it and it still acts up.
frustrating, ended up connecting my wife's iphone to finish my podcast
