android auto does not work with my car

I just got a 2017 hyundai elantra se i downloaded android auto on my galaxy 5 but when i conect the usb to the car and phone nothing is coming up. I dont know what to do.

Talk to your dealer you might need a firmware update. My 2017 Chevy Volt shipped with old firmware that didn't support AA, before I took possession I had the dealer update the firmware, that update added AA support. The other thing to do is to see if AA is listed on some settings menu, it could be as simple as AA is not enabled.
