The option I use is my Hubitat integration with a custom shortcut on the launcher screen. I have one shortcut for open, and another for close. (Requires you to have a smarthome integration already in place with either Smartthings, Hubitat, or anything else where you can link smarthome items to Google). The custom shortcut just says the phrase you would use if you were speaking to the assistant in your home. Less clicks than opening an app and then still having to click an open or close button.
