Android Auto Missing 5 bars Internet Connection

My andoid auto interface is missing the bars showing internet connectivity over 4g network. When using AA, AA confirms no internet connectivity. When my phone is in range of my WiFi signal (garage at home) the WiFi inverted triangle appears on AA.

Any ideas why no 4g internet connection? Thanks in advance.

Does it actually have use of the phone's internet though? I've seen that happen before. Visual bug.

It does not have use of the phone's internet. System keeps telling me that limited or no network connectivity.

I do use maps and traffic data is available.
I try to create a text message using the voice feature, no go. No network connectivity. I am limited to only making or receiving phone calls.
