Android Auto no longer automatically starting

Previously, my AA would automatically startup the moment I plugged in my phone to the car. As of the most recent December patch, I have to reboot the phone each time for it to connect.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Mine hasn't auto started since I got it, need to select in car UI menu
