Anyone have any luck using Android Auto with a Note 5? Just got a 2016 Camaro 2SS and it is supposed to be compatible with android auto but it won't recognize phone at all when connected with the USB cable, and yes using original cable. Thanks

I have as 2016 Honda Civic Touring Sedan, and I have the Note 5. After replacing my touchscreen unit, my phone has connected to Android Auto most every time. Enabling USB debugging under developers options and starting your car BEFORE plugging in my phone has seemingly solved my connection issues. Also, be sure location is enabled in your settings, and as long as you paired the phone to your Bluetooth, it should connect. Of course every vehicle is different.

No problems using my note with a Pioneer NEX unit. The suggestions made above are good ones though.

I've been using it with a 2016 Honda Accord. Works OK most of the time, but it randomly will disconnect. Merely unplugging and plugging it in seems to fix, sometimes have to do it multiple times to get it to go. I don't believe the app has been updated since I installed it in November. Hopefully when it does get updated some of these finicky connection issues will get better. I keep telling myself I need to try a different cable, maybe that's my problem.

All is working perfect now, apparently there was a new software update for 2016 camaro that the dealer had to install.

No problems with AA in a 2016 Honda Accord. I'm very pleased with. The only issue is after plugging in the cable I have to select MTP in the USB options. All of this takes only a few seconds. My Note 5 is running Marshmallow.

I just purchased a 2016 Impala and its not connecting. I know my phone is charging through the USB and I get a popup giving me choices to charge, dump pictures, midi, etc. I know other items work such as Pandora but I believe its through Bluetooth. I've taken it in to service and probably need to prompt them to update firmware.

I have a 2016 Honda Civic EX and have not had any troubles with my Sprint Note 5 running marshmallow since I bought my car. I have never had to adjust any settings before connecting either.

A Stone Age solution for setups that require a cable anyway (as opposed to pure Bluetooth connectivity) is to use a cassette adapter with cars so equipped. It's cheap and the sound is surprisingly good. And doesn't require any special apps. Crude but effective.
