Android Central app not working.

My android central app isn't working. When I boot the app up I get news but no pictures. I've tried turning my phone off & on again, cleared the cache & deleted & reinstalled the app & now I just get a blank white screen where the news stories should be. How can I fix this?

Thank you thought it was just my app glad to see it's not. Hope they get the app fixed.

Just to chime in. No front page at all on my S21 now S22 and just forums. Oddly it works fine on my Tab 7+. I'm assuming since clickthrough revenue on all those "best this, best that" articles to retailers is important, it will be fixed soon. And yes I do clickthrough and buy off your recommendations many times.

Bla1ze, the Community Manager, confirmed in the previously linked thread that the Android Central app has been retired and removed from the Play Store. I'm not sure if there's any plan to create a new app based on the new site software.

No he didn't. He said they're looking into whether to update the app or retire it.

Without easy access to the articles/news I see no point in staying here. That's my main reason I use AC.

I rarely use the forums. I do look at the news every day, and that is gone. As I said I'm not going onto a website multiple times a day to look at this stuff. I don't see how anyone would not test considering such major changes made, but then again maybe the problems were known about ahead of time and no one cared.

This is what we know so far:

- There's a new site for the blog and comments have been removed. There's a big chance that comments will be back in the next future via Disqus or a similar system.

- Android Central main app doesn't work for the blog and it's been removed from the Play Store. At this point the best thing to do could be uninstalling it from our phones. Slim chance they will make a new app in the future.

- Android Central Forums app (based on Tapatalk) is still working. Well, today it's been down for most of the day but I'm posting this using it.

Well, that's it then. I already deleted the AC app and have no need to be back except in the rare event I need the forum for something.

I found an alternative source for the news I need.

I can only conclude that whoever is in charge of this place just doesn't care.

The ac forums app lately only works very occasionally and is very frustrating. I'm not a heavy poster but have been a member here since 2011. Since the forums app has become so complete unreliable I have to admit that my frustration has me considering moving on.

That's what i was referring to , Forums app is based off Tapatalk so when one goes buggy i have other 2 to go into
