Agreed that Android surely doesn't "need help" but if this means things like iMessage, AirDrop, or FindMy are forced into compatibility with Android it would be a win for everyone.

this will force companies to create technologies that would likely not be compatible with another product. think needing special HW or IP algorithms, then it is a matter of not being possible.
