Hello everyone!

So i few days ago i got me a android incredible from ebay to use it as mobile media player and WIFI. U currently use VM as my carrier so i decide to try to link my account to this mobile..

i can now get my voice mail notification and incoming txt but that is it, not outgoing txt, incoming or outgoing call.. not even data. have anyone been able to get it to work or at least get data going?

thanks!

You might be able to get voice and 1x data working by calling Virgin and giving them the ESN, but Sprint (VM's underlying network) uses different 3g data frequencies.

There was a ROM made for a Cricket hack, but I've heard mixed reviews of it.

You might be able to get voice and 1x data working by calling Virgin and giving them the ESN, .......

I try doing that and i wish i had recorded the whole conversation. SO they say it cant be done because the mobile is not compatible with the network, when i told the supervisor that i got as far as getting my VM voice mail notification and incoming txt, he then told me that all of the mobile are already program in the system and from that end (vm reps) there is nothing they can do, so as i try explaining that if am able to get txt and notification is obvious that is compatible, it just cant be fully functional till the ESN is register on the network..

Try tech support instead of Customer service. The CS guy mist likely thinks an ESN is a new coffee at Starbucks.
